Clinton Global Initiative Begins in NYC

We’re going to be following the #CGI2013 and checking in on the live feed from the Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting taking place in New York over the next few days. This conference gathers about 1,000 influential individuals from world-wide government, business, and private philanthropic organizations — as Hillary Rodham Clinton put it in a video on the organization’s website, “the entire spectrum of the international development community” is represented.

The theme this year is “Mobilizing for Impact,” intending to focus on how to get the right people and the right resources in place to have the greatest effect. This is a question that applies to all of us in development, across the board, and there will surely be many good ideas emerging from this summit in New York.
